The GPU parts of POEM++ are mostly finished, we are now working on packaging everything to send it out. However there were many small issues due to the fact, that the OpenCL libraries cannot be statically linked. We think these are sorted out now. This pushed us back by about 1 week in our schedule. We are now estimating Thursday in one week (24.11) as the release date of the first OpenCL linux app. Thanks for waiting.
Edit (24.11): There is still a small holdup with the client. We hope to get it out tomorrow.
Edit (25.11): Sorry, there will be another delay (hopefully only until Monday). The current problem is getting both AMD and nvidia cards running with the same binary. If we don't find a solution until monday the first release will be using multiple binaries.
Deutsch:

I like the sound of Windows GPU apps for Poem. I also have some ATI 4xxx and 5xxx that I could put to good use :-)

Can't wait. I love the idea of using my GPU for health/science related purposes. Not meaningless numeric calculations.

Can you update the preferences to allow the option to select whether or not to use GPU's as it currently has the option of whether or not to use CPU's.

I am so happy that you are doing the development in this way -- future OpenCL projects will benefit. Don't worry that it is taking longer than expected -- we will still be here ready to crunch!

Linux GPU support first, OK?!
But, how much User have Linux and how much got Win ( XP, Vista 7 and now 8 for the future ) on there boxes running, keep thinking.
I thing Win will keep the lead.

Stop whining. Windows virtually always gets things first. Now it's time for Linux to do that. Also, you'd be surprised how many Linux people crunch with BOINC
