Hello Crunchers,
end of March was a Mini Poem-Athon challenge. But this was only for one week. Now things getting bigger. POEM joined the first time the CASP experiment. With this race we will support POEM and invite all teams to participate.

This Bigger POEM-Athon runs from 1. of June until 30. of Juni. The team which gets the most credits in this time is the winner.

Race statistics will be implemented at www.planetboinc.com.

To register your team write your team name and teamID in this tread.

Now warm up your systems and have fun,
yoyo

Team Zirconia desires a challenger for this Poem-athon. There are several similar teams in the top 10...someone ante up:D

The ESL started to mobilize now (they will give out special race awards) and will be the team to beat in this race. I would expect at least 1 million credits per day from them and 1.5 million credits/day well within the possible range. Even the Top3-Teams (BOINC combined) will only be able to compete if they put everything they have on POEM. Hopefully the POEM servers are well prepared for the race.

Most likely the ESL will also try to take the top spot in the statistics afterwards.

WOW! I\'ll say it backwards, WOW!

welcome aboard everyone, this is shaping up to be a BIG crunch. Can\'t wait to see the numbers you all put up.

For anyone that hasn\'t seen it yet, go look at the \"new members in the last day\" on their team page. No joke, this is huge!

Nice to see them ante up for a very worthwhile project.

I\'m not a member of the ESL team, I just wanted to give some kind of \"premonition\" to the teams that havn\'t had a race with the ESL (Electronic Sports League) yet. The awards they are giving to participating members really attract a lot of people in that gamer community. So POEM should be prepared for a massive flood of ESL members.

Judging by the past, after the race their output will decrease but still be quite healthy. Even if they find another project to push, some 100-200k/day will likely remain on POEM to stay on the top spot.

Done:

\"Hi Timo

It looks like we have some major players stepping up for Poem during CASP.
Therefore we need as many batches of new work as possible loaded into the system.

Some of these teams are serious players with major output and we don\'t want to find a shortage of work units.......could hurt the project.

So please load as much as you can into the system as soon as possible.

regards

vaio.\"

Hope it helps.
