I am a bit concerned for the Project when there is no up to date information on the home page. Today is 2014, March 7. The latest News is when Thomas was wishing Merry Christmas. The problem is that I am not sure if it was for last year or for this year and he wishes to get in early like all commercial enterprises. I feel that lack of communication from the team to users in the front page will result a feeling that the project does not care much about their volunteers. I realize that there are some up to date info in the Message Board but it is not obvious to members like in the Home page.

Keep in mind that it costs a lot of money to contribute to any projects and users likely to follow those who communicate effectively and keep the users up to date what is happening with the project.

Well for one it says December 2013, so only a couple months ago. Also the POEM++ opencl announcement thread has a bunch of info in it (I believe the latest is that the new GPU app will be up hopefully soon maybe in the next couple weeks).

OK, I might have been a bit sarcastic with my remarks but i stand with my belief that Project news belong to the front page where everybody can see it when they access the site. You might be happy to still see Christmas messages whereas I am looking forward to Easter greetings which is closer to todays date. Not every member have time or the knowledge how to handle the Message Boards where there are hundreds of threads and most have no time to read it all. I do not wish to argue the point, I am just simply conveying the information that I see in team threads. I am quite happy to support other projects where the Admins talk directly to the users in the front page.
